Welcome back

Welcome back to everyone!

It's a pleasure to be back with the senior classes this year! The current fifth class have had a great transition to the senior room and have been working very well all month. Welcome to Gary, Michael, Leah, Cian, Lena, Patrick, Éabha, James, Liam, Shauna and Niamh.
The current sixth are embarking on their final year with us and are acting as great leaders and role models to the younger children in the school!

This year we have an extra five students in the senior room, bringing the total to twenty one. Eleven in fifth and ten in sixth.

The students have been busy with art projects including Kites and Anti-bullying posters which came out really well. The anti-bullying posters help to highlight the ''friendship fortnight'' initiative being undertaken throughout the school. They are a testament to our very talented and artistic students.

We are now looking forward to the mini-7's competition next week. Both codes will be in action with the hurlers lining out on Tuesday in Gort GAA pitch, followed by our camogie girls on Thursday in St. Thomas' GAA pitch. The children have been training very well in preparation for the competitions and we have some excellent up and coming hurlers/camogie players. Competition for places on the team is fierce! :)
